FIELD MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE
Job Summary
Educate bar owners, managers and bartenders on a liquor brand. Merchandises brand at on and off-premise accounts in order to achieve distribution goals and develop accounts. Uses point-of-sale (POS) materials and shelf/display placement to position brands. Provides continual customer service and support to accounts. May specialize in on-premise accounts with some responsibility for off-premise accounts.
Will be responsible to execute events in local markets several nights per week.
Upon hire, must obtain complete TIPS Certification. Must be able to pass pre-hire drug screen, credit check, driving record review, and criminal background check.
Essential Functions
Sales Duties
o Participates in customer and distribution sales presentations, follows up with customers
o Describes product; provides product samples when appropriate
o Achieves monthly program goals
o Secures advantageous brand positioning and POS/display space
o Identifies and adapts to competitive sales trends
o Entertain clients and potential clients
o Manage local T&E budget
Marketing Duties
o Will execute 90 sampling nights in bars in your local market between April 1 and December 1
Responsible for on-site management of event and promotional models
o Assist National Program Director in identifying local fashion events or retailers to partner with in each market
o Assist National Program Director in executing 2 large scale events in your market
o Assist National Program Director in executing 2 bar staff education dinners
o Executes advertising merchandising and PR events, when needed.
Customer Service Duties
o Develops and maintains relationships with customers by visiting accounts, attending social and promotional events, and staying up to date on account/market/competitive conditions
o Facilitates completion of order requests with client sales and/or distributor;
o Sets up POS materials in on and off-premise accounts
Administrative Duties
o Tracks account visits, featured products, merchandising, and POS/display information
o Book, track and report all sampling activities
o Manage storage unit and inventory in unit
o Orders POS inventory through home office when necessary
Training Duties
o Trains account staff on product knowledge and product tasting in order to increase sales (when applicable)
o Train promotional models on product knowledge and protocol for sampling and marketing events
Qualifications
o Bachelor`s degree from a four-year university and 1 year of previous sales experience, preferably in the adult beverage industry
o Must be “in the know” in regards to nightlife (including bars and clubs) in your local market
o Must be outgoing and personable
o Must be willing to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends
o Basic Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Programs
o At least 21 years of age
o Valid Driver`s License
o Reliable vehicle (you will be reimbursed for use of your own vehicle)
